People often ask me what makes Berrybrook Doodles different.
It’s a fair question. There are other breeders, and if you’re searching for an Australian Labradoodle puppy, the choices can feel overwhelming.
The truth is, Berrybrook Doodles was never built to be the biggest breeding program. It was built around one simple idea:
Every puppy deserves the best possible start, and every family deserves a dog they’ll cherish for years to come.
But to really answer that question, I have to tell you a little about how Berrybrook began.
I didn’t set out to build a breeding program—I set out to build a better one.
Before Berrybrook Doodles, my career was in product development.
I spent years studying how to improve products, refine processes, solve problems, and create better outcomes. That mindset became part of who I am. I don’t believe in accepting “the way it’s always been done” if there’s a better way.
When I fell in love with Australian Labradoodles, I approached breeding the same way.
I asked myself, “If I were designing the ideal breeding program from the ground up, what would it look like?”
The answer became Berrybrook Doodles.
I wanted a program that focused not only on health, but on temperament, trainability, emotional stability, and lifelong companionship. I wanted every decision to be intentional—from selecting breeding dogs to preparing puppies for their future families.
That philosophy continues to guide everything I do today.
I breed for the Australian Labradoodle’s original purpose
Australian Labradoodles were thoughtfully developed to be intelligent, intuitive, affectionate companions with dependable temperaments.
That vision has always inspired me.
My goal isn’t simply to produce beautiful dogs. My goal is to preserve and strengthen the qualities that made people fall in love with the Australian Labradoodle in the first place—dogs that are people-oriented, emotionally balanced, highly trainable, gentle, and a joy to live with.
Every breeding decision I make is centered on those traits.
Because while coat color catches your eye, temperament changes your life.
The Berrybrook Stamp.
One of the things that makes Berrybrook different is what I call the Berrybrook Stamp.
Every dog I’m considering for my breeding program is first placed in a carefully selected guardian home, where they’re loved as a cherished family members while remaining part of the Berrybrook program.
Before they ever become breeding dogs, they receive professional training and spend months being continually evaluated by a professional animal behaviorist.
This isn’t simply obedience training.
We’re evaluating who they are.
We’re looking for dogs that naturally demonstrate:
Outstanding eye contact
A genuine desire to engage with people
Confidence without being overwhelming
Emotional resilience
Intelligence and eagerness to learn
Kindness and gentleness
Excellent recovery from new experiences
A calm, affectionate nature
and yes, those Berrybrook HEAD TILTS!
Only dogs that consistently demonstrate the temperament and qualities I’m striving to preserve earn what we affectionately call the Berrybrook Stamp.
Health Is the Foundation.
Exceptional temperament starts with healthy dogs.
That’s why my breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing before they’re considered for my program. I use those results, along with generations of pedigree information and thoughtful planning, to make informed breeding decisions.
While no breeder can guarantee perfection, I believe it’s my responsibility to do everything I can to give every puppy the strongest possible start.
Matching puppies to families Is personal.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is helping families find the puppy that’s right for them. That means getting to know you.
Every home is different.
Some are looking for an adventure buddy.
Others hope for a future therapy dog.
Some have young children.
Others are empty nesters looking for a loyal companion.
That’s why I spend so much time getting to know the people who trust me.
I often tell families,
“Even though you’re paying me, I work for the dogs.”
That means my responsibility is to place every puppy where I truly believe they’ll thrive.
More than a breeder.
I like to think I am bringing your best friend home.

It’s my life’s work.
Every litter represents years of planning, thoughtful breeding decisions, health testing, temperament evaluations, professional training, and an unwavering commitment to producing Australian Labradoodles that enrich the lives of the families who welcome them home.
I don’t believe my job ends when a puppy leaves.
In many ways, that’s just the beginning.
